Arcas

Arcas was the son of Zeus and the nymph Callisto, and the ancestor from whom the region of Arcadia took its name. When Hera discovered the affair, she transformed Callisto into a bear. Years later, the young Arcas nearly killed his own mother during a hunt, but Zeus intervened by placing both mother and son among the stars as the constellations Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.
